Director of Sales
Hampton Inn in Pawtucket, RI is looking for an experienced Hospitality Sales Professional to fill the role of Director of Sales. The Director of Sales is responsible for generating revenue for the hotel by securing group and corporate business, developing and maintaining relationships with clients, and implementing sales strategies that align with the hotel’s goals. This position focuses on selling guest rooms, meeting space, and limited hotel services while upholding the MCHG associate culture. The Director of Sales will work collaboratively with the General Manager to ensure the success of this property.
What will you do?
- Generating revenue for the hotel by securing group and corporate business
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients
- Implementing sales strategies that align with the hotel’s goals
- Selling guest rooms, meeting space, and hotel services
- Will work collaboratively with the General Manager to ensure the success of this property
- Make outside sales calls, qualify leads, and pursue prospects from various sources, including cold calls, sales blitzes, and networking events
- Maintain accurate sales files and reports, ensuring quality assurance standards are met
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in a limited service or select service hotel environment
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hotel sales CRM systems.
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends, as needed for client engagement or events.
- Familiarity with the Hilton Brand is a plus
- Local market knowledge and established business contacts also a plus.
