Senior Sales Manager
This is a high-impact senior sales role supporting the full-service Sheraton Universal Hotel in the heart of Hollywood. We’re seeking a driven, strategic seller who thrives on building relationships and using data to close business. You'll lead group sales efforts focused on National and State Association markets, driving high-value business to the Sheraton Universal in one of LA’s most competitive urban environments. This role requires a proactive, data-informed seller who can build strong client relationships, collaborate across departments, and contribute strategically to the hotel's overall sales success. What You’ll Do:
- Act as the primary point of contact for National and State Association groups at the Sheraton Universal.
- Develop and execute a strategic group sales plan targeting the association market through direct solicitation, trade shows, and strategic partnerships.
- Maximize lead conversion and proactively uncover new group opportunities through outbound prospecting.
- Design and update menus for restaurant, banquets, and special events, ensuring creative and consistent presentation
- Sell the Sheraton Universal based on client needs, availability, and group fit, while optimizing placement for profitability and operational success.
- Collaborate with the property’s Director of Sales, Revenue Management, and Event Planning to ensure a seamless booking-to-execution process.
- Prepare and deliver customized, compelling group proposals and site experiences tailored to the audience.
- Work closely with Revenue Management to develop competitive, data-driven pricing strategies.
- Maintain clean, accurate records in Delphi.fdc, CI/TY, and brand CRM systems, tracking all touchpoints and lead activity.
- Attend and represent the hotel at major association-related tradeshows and conferences (ASAE, CalSAE, Connect, etc.).
- Host client events, site inspections, and FAM trips to build long-term loyalty and brand preference.
About You:
- 3–5+ years of progressive group sales experience, preferably in full-service or convention hotels.
- Deep knowledge of the association market (national/state/educational/governmental).
- Demonstrated success managing high-impact sales responsibilities.
- Strong working knowledge of Delphi.fdc, CI/TY, One Yield, TravelClick, Knowland, Cvent, and CRM systems.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, industry events, and site inspections as needed.
- Prior experience with Marriott brands (especially Sheraton).
- Familiarity with the Los Angeles group market and local convention landscape.
- Active membership or participation in MPI, PCMA, ASAE, CalSAE, or SGMP.
