Sales Manager


It’s your lucky day! Our team is looking for eager people who want to start, grow and advance in the hospitality industry as a Sales Manager with United Hospitality Group.


What will you do?

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the total sales effort of the hotel, including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel
  • Plans and implements on-going target accounts to develop new business and acquire valuable contracts in efforts to generate new revenue
  • Maintains well-documented, accurate, organized customer profile database to serve clients in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner
  • Develops and maintains marketing plan and sales budget with the General Manager
  • Schedules and completes sales appointments
  • Coordinate group, transient to maximize profits
  • Conducts a required amount of sales activities including telemarketing, cold calls, e-mailing and prospecting
  • Creating creative marketing strategies for the hotel to boost revenue
  • Organizes, maintains, and tracks sales data
  • Responsible for understanding rate management; evaluating good pieces of business and increasing rates to meet owner’s expectations
  • 24 hour response on all leads
  • Initiate and follow up on leads. Knowledgeable of the selling process and possess a proven track record
  • Develop and implement quarterly action plans for the university market
  • Completes requests of General Manager and other management personnel, as applicable
  • Assist in any other sales related duties
  • Other duties as assigned


About you:

  • High school diploma or GED, and bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry
  • Proven track record of sales success
  • Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Previous hotel-related experience, sales management experience in hotel or service industry, experience in budgeting and business planning is required.
  • Must be competent in computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, data base).
  • Background in automated sales office systems is preferred.
  • Capability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must have exceptional communication skills
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanour
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, when necessary
  • Ability to be tactful, confident, and a good listener
