Job Title: Event Coordinator
Position Type: PT/FT (Open Availability with daytime and nights/weekends to support onsite and
offsite activations.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00/ hour

This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Hill Top Hospitality. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
Job Summary
Hotel Vista Sierra is seeking a creative and detail-driven Marketing Coordinator to support the
Director of Sales & Marketing in driving visibility, engagement, and revenue across all business
segments.
What will you do?
This role blends content creation, digital marketing, and campaign execution to
strengthen our brand and support direct sales efforts. The ideal candidate understands how strong
storytelling and visual identity convert into bookings—and is ready to bring our brand to life across
every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Content Development
- Uphold and apply the Hotel Vista Sierra brand identity across all channels.
- Design and produce marketing materials: flyers, signage, email graphics, menus, etc.
- Maintain content calendars and coordinate promotions for events and seasonal campaigns.
- Assist in capturing photography and short-form video content for promotions and social media.
- Digital & Social Marketing
- Conduct monthly audits of hotel website and OTA listings; optimize copy and visuals for visibility.
- Draft and schedule e-newsletters and digital campaigns (ConvertKit or similar).
- Collaborate with Social Media Manager and enhance our current website and third party OTAs to ensure all are current on a monthly basis.
- Track key engagement metrics and assist with reporting.
- Revenue-Focused Campaign Execution
- Support creative campaigns for revenue-generating outlets:
- Guest Room Packages
- The Terrace (Dining)
- Cabana Rentals
- Wellness Room
- In-Room Dining & To-Go Offerings
- Signature Guest Experiences (Paint & Sip, Wine Tastings, etc.)
- Coordinate with the Sales Manager and Sales Coordinator on tailored outreach for weddings, corporate retreats, and leisure packages.
- Administrative & Event Support
- Compile monthly performance reports and capture media recaps.
- Provide on-site assistance during events and activations.
About you (Qualifications):
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required; degree in Marketing, Communications, or Hospitality preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, hospitality, or brand development.
- Experience with Canva, Microsoft Office/Outlook, and digital campaign tools (e.g., ConvertKit).
Skills & Attributes
- Strong visual design skills with an eye for brand consistency.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities.
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects on deadlines.
- Passion for hospitality, local partnerships, and storytelling.
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
Bonus Points For
- Familiarity with the Sierra Foothills tourism market (art, wine, recreation).
- Previous experience in a Marriott or branded hospitality setting.
- Availability for weekend/evening event support.
