Job Description

Area Sales Manager

As the Area Sales Manager, you will lead and implement sales strategies across two Marriott-branded select-service hotels. This is a dynamic dual-property role focused on driving revenue growth, maximizing occupancy, and fostering strong community and client relationships.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies for assigned market segments
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities to meet revenue goals
  • Manage client accounts and maintain communication to ensure repeat business and referrals
  • Create and deliver compelling proposals, packages, and promotions aligned with Marriott brand standards
  • Analyze market trends and performance metrics to adjust strategies and maximize profitability
  • Coordinate sales efforts and service delivery with front office, operations, and other departments
  • Monitor progress of groups booked, including rooming lists and cut-off dates, to ensure high pick-up and guest satisfaction
  • Participate in local networking, trade shows, and community engagement to promote brand visibility
  • Use Marriott systems, reporting tools, and a Marriott-imaged remote laptop to support both properties effectively

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in hospitality sales, preferably with Marriott brand properties
  • Strong understanding of sales systems and tools such as CI/TY, FOSSE, Microsoft Office Suite, and other CRM platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven success meeting or exceeding sales goals and driving profitable revenue
  • Ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Self-motivated with strong planning, organization, and time management skills
  • Comfortable with flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for dual-property support
